The Independent National Electoral Commission has set a date for starting the screening and training of thousands of applicants for INEC Adhoc Staff who would help with the conduct of the 2023 General Election.
The Commission informed the Adhoc Staff Applicants it would start reviewing them on January 13, 2023, when it started contacting them on Thursday.

The Independent National Electoral Commission’s management announced that the INEC physical training activity for all pre-selected applicants would take place this year and urged everyone whose names appeared on the INEC shortlist to participate. Two (2) weeks will pass during the INEC training.

We are happy to announce that the Independent National Electoral Commission has invited all candidates who passed the screening process to report to their respective training camps. This announcement is especially for all selected candidates.

INEC Adhoc Staff Training & Screening Update
- Serving Corp members are to be in attendance with their Call-up Letters and NYSC IDs
- STUDENTS are to present their Tertiary School ID Cards or either their Letters of Admission.
- Staff of MDAs will be in the screening ground with their Appointment letters from current Employer, or their past promotion letters.
- Ex Corp members would be in the screening ground with their NYSC discharge certificates.
The INEC Adhoc Streening is expected to start on January 13 and end on January 23 of 2023.
In the meantime, the following dates have been set aside for 2023 INEC Adhoc Staff Training for Supervisory Presiding Officer, Presiding Officers, Assistant Presiding Officers, and Collation Officers:
- SPO – 9th February 2023 to 11th February 2023 – 3 days
- PO/APO – 13th February 2023 to 16th February 2023 – 4 days
- CO – 21st February to 23rd February – 3 days
The final list of candidates who would actively participate in the conduct of the 2023 general election would be made public to the view of the public across the 774 LGAs of the Federation following the INEC Adhoc Staff Training.
